John Sergeant In Casualty Cameo
![]() |
TV presenter and reporter John Sergeant is to make a cameo appearance in an episode of the BBC's Casualty. The former political correspondent, and Strictly Come Dancing star, will play - a political reporter.
In the episode, due to air on May 2, a throng of journalists gather outside Holby City Hospital after hearing that an MP is being treated there. John Sergeant, as said political reporter, will attempt to report back to the studio, only to be interrupted by the blast of ambulance sirens.
Few will forget the contribution the 65-year-old made to 2008's series of Strictly Come Dancing. He had received strong support from the public (and stinging criticism from the judges) but controversially decided to quit in November. Since then, he's barely been off our screens. This is in part due to Argumental, digital channel Dave's panel show in which he's the host, and his role as a roving reporter on the BBC's The One Show.
