Strictly The Bitchiest!
![]() |
When it comes to sniping, backbiting and bitchiness, Strictly Come Dancing is in a league of its own. Forget Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty; these shows are just wannabes in the bitch stakes.
Reports about tantrums, tears, clashes between contestants and their professional dancers, rumoured celebrity rivalries, arguments between the judges etc. are par for the course with the BBC's hit talent show now.
Take series two, for example. Judge Craig Revel Horwood freely admits that he didn't see eye to eye with camp comedian Julian Clary. The comic referred to him as "the particularly ugly one on the end" (hahahaha!) and in the final, called him a "silly old queen". The spats have created huge interest in the show; who can resist well-known names slating each other?
This current incarnation, with its giant battle of the egos, makes the genteel world of BBC forerunner Come Dancing (axed in 1998) seem more antiquated than ever. But Strictly Come Dancing simply wouldn't be the same without its outspoken judges. In our gallery, we present some of the cutting remarks that illustrate why this show is strictly the bitchiest.
