Strictly Live: Week 10
![]() |
Model and television presenter Jodie Kidd said she had been on the "most amazing journey" as she became the 11th celebrity to leave Strictly Come Dancing. However John Sergeant's exit probably overshadowed hers.
Despite earning praise from the judges for her performance of the Jive with partner Ian Waite, the couple failed to secure enough support to keep them in the show after their dance off against Lisa Snowdon and Brendan Cole. Jodie Kidd's departure follows that of people's favourite John Sergeant, who bowed out of the show on Saturday night to huge cheers and a standing ovation from the TV audience - while the judges remained firmly seated. The 64-year-old former journalist sparked ire among the panel with his massive popularity despite terrible dancing. He kept the programme on the front pages when he decided to leave the show earlier this week after repeated tongue-lashings from the Strictly judges.
Thousands of people complained after he quit, but he denied he had been pressured into it, telling host Bruce Forsyth: "I certainly wasn't pushed was I Brucie? I had a marvellous time. It has been strictly fantastic." Click through the gallery below to see Sergeant's final week 10 bow.
