The I'm A Celebrity contestants have cheered on by video messages from home.
Tennis champion Martina Navratilova received a message from her friend Juraj Kralik, who said: "Don't worry, your sweetheart is in daily touch with us.
"She's very proud of you and she's supporting you from overseas sending millions and millions of kisses for you."
Simon Webbe's message was from his girlfriend Layla, while David Van Day cried at an affectionate video from his daughters and Joe Swash's mother told her son: "I love you ginger ninja, you look great."
Star Wars star George Takei was cheered when his husband Brad told him: "I am a few hundred yards from where you are sitting.
"When you come out I'm going to be there to give you a big hug."
The messages were a ray of hope for the hungry stars because the celebrity chest task was as unsuccessful as the earlier Bushtucker trial.
It was carried out by Joe and Simon, who each had to walk across high wires, using the other as a support, to reach the chest and its contents.
Back in the camp the disappointed celebrities found that the prize was just a small pack of marshmallows from ITV2's Emma and Matt Willis.
