Diversity's shock victory over Susan Boyle was the final surprise in what has been the most exciting series of Britain's Got Talent so far.
The first shock of the series was when Kelly Brook's stint as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan was cut short.
Producers insisted that it was nothing to do with the Moving Wallpaper actress's ability, but that having four judges instead of three was impractical.
As the auditions got up and running, judges were amazed by many of the acts aiming for the big time.
Pizza delivery man Jamie Pugh overcame his crippling nerves to belt out a Les Miserables song, while Peter Coghlan turned from lad to, erm, lady in his drag act - the main feature being his enormous bare belly which he jiggled around the stage.
Hollie Steel was branded "the bravest little girl in the world" by Piers after she broke down into floods of tears mid-performance and had to muster up the strength to carry on.
But the most surprising act of all was Scottish spinster Susan Boyle, who went on to international fame after blowing judges away with her version of I Dreamed A Dream.
She sang the song once again for the live final - the lyrics taking on even more meaning after the continual coverage in the press - and most expected her to walk away with the prize money.
But in a show which is never certain, Susan pleased bookmakers who stood to lose a large amount of money, but shocked the world by coming second to dance troupe Diversity.
The competition might be over, but for Susan - who still has the world's eyes on her - the show has only just begun.
