End of Big Brother's proper Charlie

Charlie made it to the final four before being voted out, and the minute he left, the Big Brother house seemed a slightly duller place.
Davina told Charlie she felt sorry for him because she thought the housemates all assumed he was going to win, but he was more than happy to be a runner up.
"I've already won though. I got on the show and I've won!" he exclaimed
"But in your head was there a little part of you that accepted, or thought: 'Maybe I could?'" asked Davina.
Charlie said he thought he was going to go in week five.
When asked about his relationship with Rodrigo he said: "We're just friends,"
"Do you fancy him?" Davina persisted.
"He's just a friend," repeated Charlie, refusing to be drawn on the subject.
Of all the BB10 housemates, Charlie went on one of the biggest journeys.
As psychologist Judi James commented: "What we're seeing with Charlie is a journey that looks suspiciously like kid to man. He's maturing in front of our eyes, learning how to avoid arguments with Roddy and using strategy and intellect.
"Over the last few weeks, Charlie has emerged as a dominant force in the house and a fully rounded, complex young man."
Which perhaps explains why British viewers took him to their hearts.
Charlie himself thought the observations were pretty spot on, saying: "It's true. I am a bit of a kid at times though."
And those moments included plenty of sulky moments and tantrums, most notably with Rodrigo. He described it as a love/hate relationship: "I love him, he hates me," Charlie told the Diary Room one day.
Easily the most poignant part of his interview involved Davina mentioning his mother who had an aneurysm and the fact that while he was in the house she was "getting stronger".
"She'd be so proud of us," he commented as a few million fans reached for the tissues.
Charlie had no shortage of dramatic moments during his time in the BB 10 house.
He was soon put up for eviction for discussing nominations with Lisa and Karly. Despite being told to remain silent until midnight or he would be automatically nominated, he accidentally broke his silence by shouting "I'm up!" when the alarm went off after an afternoon nap.
His other memorable moments included walking across broken glass in the Special Forces task to gain housemate status, and he gave Dick Van Dyke a run for his money by leading the Ole Bamboo dancing task. Mary Poppins would have been proud.
He also proved a good shoulder to cry on, as Angel would testify. He comforted her when she fought with other housemates who accused her of stealing cider.
Rodrigo may have been one of his closest friends in the house, but Charlie also flirted with Halfwit/Freddie, who didn't mind too much. Sree also flirted with Charlie and was always jumping on him and climbing into bed with him -when he wasn't chasing Noirin that is.
When asked who he thought would win, he thought Sophie, but also suggested Siavash and David.
He may not have won Big Brother 10, but Charlie was definitely a ray of sunshine in the often stormy house.
