Big Brother Blog - The Final

It's the day of the final of Big Brother 10, and only five contestants remain in the house.
Brazilian student Rodrigo - who was the bookmakers' instant favourite when the housemates were first revealed - still remains, but after 13 weeks of temper tantrums, he's not the sweet little viewers' favourite he once seemed.
Cheeky chappy Charlie has never faced eviction, except when all housemates have been put up, but like some of his fellow contestants who have already walked through those doors, the viewers don't seem to believe he can really like everyone as much as he claims to.
Siavash earned himself a lot of fans in the first few weeks as his carefree attitude began to show underneath his bright suits and dazzling make-up. His heartbreak over Noirin only seemed to help him gain more favour with viewers, but as he has continued to play the martyr over the guilt of cheating on his girlfriend, people have become fed up - and his popularity has plummeted.
His refusal to nominate - insisting he wants to face the public vote and see if people like him - also grew tiresome. He went from a rebel with a cause to an attention seeker after reassurance.
Poor David is delighted to have made it to final, having entered the show halfway through, but he surely stands no chance of winning. Pure coincidence of who has been nominated against and when has saved him from eviction. But he celebrated his birthday in the Big Brother house and got his letter from Dame Vivienne Westwood, so that should keep him happy.
It is Sophie, the busty blonde glamour model formerly known as Dogface, who has surprisingly become this year's forerunner in the days leading up to the final.
An attractive girl, who plays dumb (or does she truly think that Germany is in France?), wants to strip off for magazines when she leaves the house and has had a romance on camera with the 'house hunk', Sophie has all the things that would usually make the public go against her.
But having already posed for Playboy UK magazine, she hasn't entered the house to win herself a career as a glamour model, so that makes her appear less of a scheming game-planner.
She may have had enough ambition to have changed her name to Dogface to stay in the show, but when she was given the chance to change it back, her apparently genuine claims to have grown attached to the name were almost endearing.
We have seen her kiss and canoodle with Kris, but then she has also managed to make friends with other housemates after he left.
We saw her pine for Kris - but not to the point that it became annoying - and wonder if he had found someone new.
However when the magazines were sent into the house and she read Kris had sold interviews hinting she had let him have his wicked way with her, she became embarrassed and angry.
We saw her rant for days about how she would never compromise her dignity on national television, especially when her mum and dad might be watching.
Bored, as most Big Brother contestants are, Sophie has turned to eating and has piled on a few pounds. Unlike other female contestants in shows past and present she hasn't got up early in the morning to do exercises or demanded diet food, and we have seen her stand in front of the mirrors (with cameras behind them) and worry that she is "getting chubby".
Though her breasts and hair clearly aren't real, and she may be playing up her dumb blonde side slightly, Sophie has comes across as a real woman, and that has won over both male and female viewers.
But despite being the bookmakers' favourite, in Big Brother, it's never over until the big mouthed lady - ie Davina - shouts. And after all, who expected Rachel Rice to win last year?
