Alan Shore and Denny Crane - Events in the series finale make this Boston Legal pairing the bromance to end all bromances as far as I'm concerned. I'll say no more than that as I've no wish to spoil it for newbies. Legal eagles Denny (William Shatner) and Alan (James Spader) are close friends despite political differences. The former is a politically incorrect Republican; the latter tends to take on liberal causes. While both men are heterosexual (and extremely promiscuous), it's clear that they're truly at ease with each other (they've even shared a bed a la Morecambe and Wise). The show would often end with the two buddies sharing a drink and a celebratory cigar but on one occasion, Alan puffed with someone else. After realising how hurt Denny was about it, Alan instantly reassured him: "I love you, Denny. You're my best friend." Bless! |
