Snowbombing 2009
It's a blast!
![]() |
Normally at festivals you make sure you pack your boots due to the three feet of mud… but not at Snowbombing. The festival, now in its tenth year, is unique in its combination of skiing holiday and authentic music festival. With acts such as Dizzee Rascal, The View and The Noisettes, it is like a winter holiday with the best après ski imaginable.
Everything synonymous with a festival (mud, tents, and fields) are replaced with snow, hotels and mountains – a good trade if you ask me. If you thought slowly traipsing between stages at Glastonbury was tiring, then try hurtling down a mountain at 20mph in and out of people nursing hangovers.
The organisers of the event are trying to bill it as the first festival of the year as opposed to the solitary snow-based one. And if they can continue to improve the line-up every year, there’s no reason why not…
