Perhaps, the most star-studded line-up of all the summer festivals was at V this year. Lady Gaga, The Killers and Lily Allen took to the stages at both Chelmsford and Staffordshire, but not, however, Oasis. After headlining the Saturday evening in the midlands the Britpop legends pulled out of the Essex gig the following day due to illness. Scottish indie outfit Snow Patrol took the mantle of headliners and rounded off the weekend in style, even covering classics Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova.
Other highlights of the weekend's events were Dizzee Rascal who, once again, gave a brilliantly energetic performance and Razorlight who pulled out all their hits in front of sundrenched audiences. There was even a surprise appearance from Amy Winehouse. See all the best bits from the weekend…
