Popular music is a fickle business. To paraphrase Frank Sinatra, you can be riding high in April only to find yourself shot down in May.

With this year's BRIT Awards now upon us, we thought we'd dig through our list of previous winners and see which ones have fallen out of favour, disappeared, or otherwise lapsed into obscurity.
