It's always been a mystery to me why Supergrass never made it bigger than they did. From the moment their glorious debut, I Should Coco, was released back in 1995, they appeared to have it all - talent, energy, and fabulously simian rock and roll looks.
If anything, they seemed almost too good to be true.
In fact, maybe that had something to do with it. So perfect was their emergence at the height of Britpop (remember the video for Alright?) that they became instantly and permanently associated with the era.
Which is a shame because they've been producing brilliant music ever since. From the balls to the wall rock of Richard III to the insanely catchy pop of Pumping On Your Stereo, the 'Grass kept on honing their craft while so many of their contemporaries fell by the wayside.
Diamond Hoo Ha is their superb sixth studio album and showcases every aspect of the band's appeal. You can listen to every track by clicking on the thumbnails below. Oh yes, and we've got a video interview with the boys too. Bite me!
