The Sugababes Story

It seems to be true what they say; no one member is bigger than the group… the Sugababes have been quick to replace their departing band members since they formed in 2000, with Siobhan, Mutya and Keisha being replaced by Heidi, Amelle and, most recently, Jade Ewen of Eurovision fame.

They’ve released six studio albums with three different lineups, all of which have been more than a little successful – BRIT awards, platinum albums and 25 UK top 10 singles to boot!

Amid all of the speculated in-fighting between the band members, which has supposedly led to some of the rotation of members, the Sugababes’ wheels are in motion once again. For the first time without a founding band member, they are due to release their seventh album, Sweet 7 in November 2009. The new album, produced on Jay-Z’s record label, is said to feature collaboration from -Ne-Yo and Sean Kingston – so expect some totally different sounds from the girls.
