Carey Mulligan has admitted she is sometimes thrown by the press attention as she shoots the eagerly awaited Wall Street sequel.
The actress - garnering Oscar buzz for her performance in An Education - is shooting Money Never Sleeps with co-stars Michael Douglas and Shia LeBeouf and there has been plenty of paparazzi action around the New York set.
"You get a ton of paparazzi everyday and it affects your work because you're trying to think about the person you're acting against and you've got 20 lenses taking pictures of you at the same time - it throws you," she said.
But Carey, who's rumoured to be dating her co-star Shia, thinks it's a small price to pay.
The 24-year-old said: "I've got an amazing job and I get to work with brilliant people and then there's like a two per cent downside, but in general things are pretty brilliant. I feel very happy with everything and that very small negative side is very easy not to think about."
In An Education, Carey plays a 16-year-old schoolgirl who is swept into a glamorous world of concerts and supper clubs after she embarks on a relationship with David, a 30-something man, played by Peter Sarsgaard.
A relationship between an older man and a schoolgirl was always going to raise eyebrows, but Carey said she wasn't any more tentative about the part than the "general nerves" she feels on taking on a role.
"It takes me a couple of days to settle in, so I usually write-off the first couple of days of any film because I'm going to be nervous and self-conscious and terrible," she said.
An Education is out now.
