Too late for the blockbuster season, too early for the Oscar-buzz frenzy, the movies that sneak into cinemas in August are always, always worth discovering.
Don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a quiet month. Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Kathryn Bigelow, Judd Apatow and Pedro Almodovar all have films out this month.
