How to upload

The critics can scoff as they much as they like about avant-garde and nouvelle-vague, but that doesn't really tell us much. What do real people think about films? Real people like you!

To become one of MSN Movies unofficial critics, all you've got to do is upload a video of your review to our brand new You The Critic section - an audience of more than eight million visitors a month will be there to check out your thoughts…

Simply follow the video upload instructions below and tell your friends and fans you're an MSN critic.

NB: A passport account can be set-up here: http://accountservices.passport.net/ppnetworkhome.srf

   3. Click 'Upload' on the navigation bar. You’ll be taken to the page below.

4. Click 'Browse' and locate the video on your machine, then click 'Open'

5. Enter the 'Title' which is the headline of the video
6. Enter the 'Description' – what the video is
7. Enter the 'Tags' - up to five words separated by commas which are the key search terms. IMPORTANT: one of these tag words must be 'you_the_critic'
8. Click the 'Category' dropdown menu and select 'Movies'

9. Leave the permission as 'Public'
10. Check the box next to 'Yes I agree to the Soapbox Terms of Use...'
11. Click 'Upload'
12. Before closing the page wait for the video upload bar (located above 'Browse') to reach 100%. The time it takes will vary depending on the length of the clip and the speed of your connection.

11. The video will now 'Process', which can take up to an hour, so next time you login the video will be waiting for you.
