Neighbours star Alan Fletcher said it would be a dream come true if the Kaiser Chiefs appeared on the show.

The actor, who has played Dr Karl Kennedy for 15 years, hinted that he'd approached the band about doing a cameo.

He enthused: "I'd love the Kaiser Chiefs on Neighbours - I think they're the perfect fit, and I've put it to them!"

He added: "They've got a delicious sense of humour in what they sing about and a lot of their songs are about suburban life, city life, street life and so forth."

The Aussie soap has played host to a number of famous musicians over the years, including the Pet Shop Boys and, more recently, Lily Allen.

In 2006, Kaisers frontman Ricky Wilson told how he would like to make an appearance on the show.

"I remember watching the Pet Shop Boys in a cameo part and that was hilarious," he said. "They asked for directions to the recording studio."

Up: MSN Review

So, it’s about an old man flying away on an adventure by attaching a huge bunch of helium balloons to his house. Even for the talented craftspeople at Pixar, who successfully brought us a near-silent film about robots last year, this seems far-fetched. We needn’t have worried though. Up is the best Pixar film since Toy Story.
