Brad Pitt has admitted he suffered from a bruised ego when he damaged his motorbike while trying to escape the paparazzi.

The star was involved in a minor accident in Los Angeles last month after a paparazzo reportedly cut him off in traffic, and said he was now looking for a replacement.

"I had a little mishap - no injuries, except my ego," he said while promoting Inglourious Basterds in Tokyo.

He added: "I was trying to get away from some paparazzi and instead gave them a good story. It was my favourite bike, so that is really sad.

"I will definitely be looking at motorcycles - you've got some of the best builders right here."

Brad said he felt lucky to be chosen as the war film's leading man, as director Quentin Tarantino had initially planned to cast himself in that part.

"We had heard about this script for about eight years before it came my way, so it had taken on a mythical dimension," he said. "I was doubly flattered because Quentin originally wrote the part for himself."

Tarantino said: "What made me want to make the film is simply that I like war movies.

"The initial idea sometimes is really as simple as wanting to make a war movie or a car chase movie. The rest goes from there."

Up: MSN Review

So, it’s about an old man flying away on an adventure by attaching a huge bunch of helium balloons to his house. Even for the talented craftspeople at Pixar, who successfully brought us a near-silent film about robots last year, this seems far-fetched. We needn’t have worried though. Up is the best Pixar film since Toy Story.
