Robert Pattinson has been voted the sexiest man on the planet.
The Twilight actor - who is originally from Barnes, London - was chosen by readers of Heat magazine, beating Hollywood heavyweights including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Zac Efron to the title.
The mag's editor Julian Linley said the actor "is obviously very easy on the eye, but a lot of his popularity has to be down to the character Edward he plays in Twilight - strong, brooding and tortured, basically most women's fantasy boyfriend".
Robert, 23, is currently in the States where he is filming New Moon, the sequel to vampire flick Twilight. The movie will also see Kristen Stewart back as Bella.
This week's Heat magazine is on sale today (Tuesday).

So, it’s about an old man flying away on an adventure by attaching a huge bunch of helium balloons to his house. Even for the talented craftspeople at Pixar, who successfully brought us a near-silent film about robots last year, this seems far-fetched. We needn’t have worried though. Up is the best Pixar film since Toy Story.
